On Saturday, February 6, Hanford Mills Museum in East Meredith will hold its annual Ice Harvest Festival. Visitors can take part in a traditional ice harvest, using historic tools. A range of other outdoor and indoor activities will be offered, including ice fishing, ice sculpting, and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Don’t miss the hot soup buffet, featuring soups from 20 favorite area restaurants, plus food trucks and exhibits by local farmers and businesses. This family-friendly event provides a day of hands-on history and winter fun.The ice is 9-10 inches thick as of 1/28, and we are anticipating a good crop on February 6!
